First class modular system
GemStart5 provides the three primary functions of Control, Protection and Monitoring for all types of motor starter, from 110V to 24KV AC. With its new modular approach, the best combination is always available to meet any specification requirement at the lowest possible cost.
GemStart5 fits perfectly well into COMECA Motor Control Centers : Galaxis MCC.
When choosing GemStart5, circuit designs are simplified, project schedule is reduced and maximum flexibility is provided thanks to simple configuration settings. On-site commissioning time is also reduced to a minimum thanks to a setting configuration which is mostly performed in our factory before shipment of the equipment.
It is possible to perform very quick replacement of Motor Starters without shutdown of the Motor Control Center : the Plant associated Memory Modules (PAMMs), located on the fixed part of each drawer, ensure that each set of settings is saved and applicable to any replacement starter.

An efficient Supervision solution for our IMCS
COMECA approach to intelligent Monitoring and Control System is a dedicated PLC based solution for Intelligent Electronic Devices such as GemStart5 based mostly on Profibus and Modbuds protocols.
GemView is a bespoke PC based Engineering Workstation providing user-friendly Windows based graphical dynamic (real-time) interfaces to all of yours process electrical supply components.
GemView is provided with our IMCS architecture such as the one approved in the Oil & Gas industry based a hot-standby pair of PLCs.
Our solutions are easily compatible with existing supervision systems as well as upper level DCS/ECS.
