The specific trade of “electrical switchboard maker” is a recent development. It was originally included in other larger trades (constructor, distributor, integrator) in the electrical industry.

Since standards became more rigorous and everyone began to specialise on its core trade, a family of dedicated professionals has emerged improving the quality of electrical material and therefore the safety of users. These materials are designed to distribute the electricity or to control machines and the process of production. In order to optimise the solutions proposed, it is paramount to be aware of the user’s needs and of the integrator’s requirements.
