SOPRANO by COMECA inaugurates its new premises

17th November 2016. One year to the day following its liquidation, SOPRANO Industry, acquired by COMECA and since known as SOPRANO by COMECA, inaugurated its new premises in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier, Eastern France.

Over 70 people participated to this event. Attendees included SOPRANO’s long-term customers, several territories’ stakeholders as well as the economic and regional press.

Local elected representatives also brought their support with an official inauguration ceremony in presence of the Sub-Prefect of la Tour-du-Pin.

For SOPRANO by COMECA and its new Director Michel Laguette, this event is the opportunity to deliver a strong message:

« Thanks to COMECA, SOPRANO benefits again from the necessary resources to develop. Our long-term customers trust us in this new start. Many of them contacted us again and requested quotations. In three months, the company has already received orders worth EUR12 million. »

Gaël de La Rochère, COMECA’s CEO, adds :

« The purchase of SOPRANO already represents a EUR 4 million’s investment for COMECA, and we foresee further investment of EUR 4 million to grow the business. SOPRANO and COMECA share complementary activities and common customers”.

The integration of SOPRANO within COMECA aligns with the Group’s strategy, aiming at creating synergies to be more innovative and competitive, including the international stage where SOPRANO’s offers can be provided.

SOPRANO by COMECA specializes in the manufacturing of heat exchangers for the nuclear, railway and military sectors as well as in the manufacturing of high voltage power electronics equipement. The company joined the COMECA Group the 31st March 2016 through its subsidiary COMECA POWER, specialists in power electronics and energy conversion.
