Project Engineer (F/M)
Objective:
Responsible for designing, engineering, and coordinating the production of complex electrical control panels. This position acts as the bridge between client requirements and the workshop floor, creating detailed schematics, managing material sourcing, and ensuring compliance with industry standard
🎯 Job Description:
Design & Engineering:
- Create detailed 2D/3D electrical schematics, layouts, and point-to-point wiring diagrams using CAD systems.
- Define & create detailed 2D/3D mechanical drawings, mechanical connection and other non-electrical parts
Project Leadership: Manage the full design lifecycle from concept to final production, ensuring
projects meet deadlines and budgetary constraints.
Technical Compliance: Ensure all designs conform to relevant safety codes, industry standards (e.g., IEC, ANSI, CE etc), and client specifications.
Quality and Safety: Ensure that all design meet with the quality and safety standard for
switchgear and distribution panel
Documentation & Bill of Materials (BOM): Generate accurate project documentation, including complete BOM, assembly instructions, and technical calculations.
Workshop Support & Quality Control: Collaborate with assembly and quality department/staff for design implementation at workshop, conducting in-process review, including for testing, and maintaining “as-built” documentation.
Client Interface: Act as the primary technical contact to clarify requirements, provide updates, and address design issues.
Mentorship: Guide junior designers and technicians/Drafter on best practices in drawing preparation and producing of electrical and mechanical drawing.
👤 Qualification:
- Experience: Generally 5+ years of experience in electrical control panel design or related industrial automation.
- Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar design software.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of industrial components (relays, PLCs, breakers) and wiring practices.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
Skills:
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in interpreting blueprints and designing components.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to resolve design conflicts and field issues.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for coordinating with internal teams and clients
