The project

Our client is a specialist in the manufacture and sale of chemicals. The company produces and modifies boron-based products.

The group’s objective was to increase its production and add a new installation to  this production area. The aim was to make them more reliable and to create new ones.

This project was carried out in several stages: firstly, the electrical studies, then the manufacture of cabinets in our plant, and finally the construction site for the addition of a chemical product filtration line within the production area. The latter has the great advantage of recycling the decommissioned products instead of putting them in a waste disposal site.

Customer challenge

This project was accomplished with minimal disruption to ongoing production. It was a real challenge of co-working between the mechanical assembly and the connections with a guarantee of an optimised deadline.

The Comeca solution

The electrical installation was prepared in different packages and  installed as the mechanical work progressed.

This included :

  • A power distribution cabinet connected to the existing main switchboard by buried cables and connected to the various cabinets by overhead cable trays.
  • Cabinet for the filtration process with a Schneider PLC (600 I/O).
  • Cabinet for the grinding process with a Schneider PLC.
  • Several teams working simultaneously

Commissioning was conducted in stages in order to optimise the time required to bring the plant back into production.
